Tiffany and James were an absolute pleasure to spend the week with. Tiffany had every detail of her Polynesian adventure planned out. Pre-wedding parties, wedding and reception on the Big Island with family and friends; then off to South Pacific for the honeymoon on Bora Bora. These two are very giving of their time at home in New York City. Tiffany is a nurse and James is a teacher at the performing arts high school featured in the movie and television show FAME. The family and friends were supportive and thoughtful. One of my favorite moments is when all the guests of the resort (who had never met the bride and groom) were out on their lani watching us take bridal party photos and decided to get involved. They started yelling creative direction as if they were on a set at a model shoot. They then added to the fun by blasting music and making it a full out runway party. When they saw we were about to proceed to the first look, they left the Hawaiian Wedding Song playing out on the lani while they retreated into their rooms allowing Tiffany and James their intimate and emotional first look together. | Photography: Ranae Keane EMotion Galleries Coordinator: Brian Scully Wedding Venue: Royal Kona Resort Anticipation Venue: Wyndham Kona Hawaiian Reception Venue: Sunset Cove Trash Dress Location: Kikaua Point Officiant: Rev. Jodie and John were sweethearts in high school, went separate ways, reunited years later only to find they were still very much in love with each other. Their Hawaii Island Weddings by Kauka ceremony in Kailua-Kona was lovely. Mid-ceremony John was so overcome with the emotions that his knees literally went weak. The small gathering of friends and family all joined John for a seat in the sand as Dean continued with the vows and exchange of rings. Immediately after saying "I Do" the couple impulsively jumped up from the sand and ran to the ocean. Jodie and John's weddings was very beautiful and meaningful evening that I will always remember.
Sara and Julie were a blast to hang out with at Kikaua Point. They were recently engaged and came to the Big Island to plan their 2014 wedding in paradise! Both of these ladies are young professionals in the medical field and are very deserving of some rest & relaxation on the beach. We had fun and enjoyed a spectacular sunset!
This wedding party from Denver loves to have fun and can not party without our very own Kona Brew!!!! Congratulations Cher & Matthew! You and your entire crew were fun to photograph.
Waited many months for this post.... A bride from the mainland came to exchange vows with her partner in front of dozens of family and friends who flew to the islands to witness. Behind closed doors I asked.... "Many big events for you this year....when are you due?" She was a little shocked.... being very trim, not showing at all, she asked, "How do you know, no one but by husband knows?" The open lei, a gift from her husband, was the give away. This coupled had researched Hawaiian traditions regarding pregnancy. The bride and groom were aware if they were to preform the wedding lei ceremony it is appropriate for their situation that Andrea was to wear an open lei rather than closed lei. She was happy to find how I knew and that I was the only one at the ceremony that had figured it out. The couple asked if we could do a traditional maternity photo (out of view of her guests) so she could use the photo to share the news when the time was right. Many months have past since their wedding date. The newlyweds have shared this photo and the family now have a new addition! So this is an older photo but perfect time to share. Congratulations to the growing family!
